Bethany grew up dancing and teaching at “Michele’s Dance Academy” in her hometown of Las Cruces, NM. She was a member of the Las Cruces Chamber Ballet and reached the title of principal dancer her senior year of high school. She then continued to pursue her love of dance. Bethany auditioned and was accepted into the Brigham Young University dance department and the BYU Ballet performing company her freshman year. She continued to perform as a member of the company every year while at BYU. She had the privilege of learning from excellent dance professors and directors. She has experience in jazz, tap, and modern dance, but spent years focusing on classical and contemporary ballet technique and performance. Ballet productions performed include, “The Nutcracker,” “Swan Lake,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Les Sylphides,” “Snow Queen,” “Coppelia,” "Stars and Stripes," and "Rodeo." Bethany had many performing opportunities and toured throughout the western and northern United States performing. Bethany received dance scholarships and BYU Ballet Department awards including “Directors Choice,” “Outstanding Performer,” and “Outstanding Choreography.” As a student, she was selected to teach Ballet classes to other college students and teach at the BYU Intensive Summer Ballet Camp. In 2007, she received her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in dance with an emphasis in ballet. Upon graduation, she was selected and hired on as faculty and continued teaching at BYU as a part-time dance professor. Bethany also taught at “The Dance Club” in Orem, Utah as the head ballet teacher. She saw many of her students from “The Dance Club” go on to dance in college and professionally. A few were even featured as finalists on “So You Think You Can Dance.” After marrying her husband AJ in 2007, they moved to Carlsbad, NM and started a family. Also while in Carlsbad, Bethany had the pleasure of teaching at “Cheryl’s School of Dance” for 4 years. In 2012 they moved to the Lovington/Tatum area of New Mexico to pursue farming and ranching and focused on continuing to raise their family. Bethany is blessed with 5 children. She is grateful to have the opportunity to continue to teach and share her love of dance with others.
Jasmine started dance training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, tap, hip-hop, and swing at the age of 15. She has performed as a dancer with Odessa High School Showgirls Dance Team, UTPB Falcon Heat Dance Team, and UTPB Ballet Folklorico Team. Jasmine received a Bachelor's of Arts in Dance from Texas Tech University in 2010. During her higher education, Jasmine's choreography was performed for the American College Dance Festival Association. Since then, she has taken master classes from multiple artists from companies such as: Pilobolus, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Shen Wei Dance Arts. She also participated as a professional for the American Dance Festival in North Carolina. She previously taught multiple levels of lyrical, jazz, hip-hop and ballet classes. Additionally, Jasmine is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique. She wants to inspire creativity and allow growth for dancers to find their own voice through movement.
Cindy is a native of Lovington and has years of experience performing, choreographing, and teaching in all styles of dance. She holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Dance from West Texas A&M University, and a Master's Degree in Education. Along with teaching at EPDA, Cindy teaches dance in the Lovingtion Public Schools. While gaining her bachelor's degree, she was cast as a featured dancer in The Firebird, Legally Blonde the Musical, "TEXAS" the Outdoor Musical, and many concerts held by the University's dance program.
Cindy moved to Los Angeles shortly after graduating from West Texas A&M in 2014 and was hired on by two dance companies, "ZEROgravity" and "Layla and the Lotus Dancers." While working in the industry, she booked work as an extra in two films, "The First Girl I Loved" and "The Loner," and performed on television as a dancer/extra in "the LA Pride Parade Pre-Show" and Jillian Micheals, "Sweat Inc." Living a fast paced lifestyle, she continued to further her training by learning new skills like yoga, ethnic dance, belly dancing, and aerial arts; studying the trapeze and silks. Cindy had the opportunity to audition for the Walt Disney Company and received her first contract as a Character Dancer/Ensemble with Disney Cruise Line. She worked on board the Disney Magic for two years where she traveled and performed in live action Broadway style shows with some of the world famous Disney Characters. She is excited to be back home and is eager to share her knowledge and passion for dance.
Harley Lozano danced at En Pointe Dance Academy the first year it opened, which was her senior year. During this year, besides increasing her training, skill, and performing in our community, she was also trained by En Pointe Dance Academy teachers in dance teaching. She assisted classes and taught and choreographed in her own classes. She loved connecting with students and watching them grow as dancers. She has been in the dance world since the age of 3, and performing in ballet, tap, Irish tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical. Harley has had the chance to study with an abundance of phenomenal teachers that come from all around the world. She was invited to “Joffrey Summer Internship” for the hip hop program, and was cast in two music videos “Hot” by Nick and Navi and “Pretender” by Steve Aoki. While interning, She also got to perform live at the B.E.T experience. Harley took class from the one and only Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, which led to performing at a preseason game. Harley specializes in teaching dance to En Pointe Dance Academy’s youngest dancers, hip hop dancers, and she created our popular Pom program and teaches all Pom classes. As a teacher, she wants to give students the inspiration to have fun and love what they are doing, all while chasing their dreams!
Grace Evans grew dancing and was a competitive cheerleader throughout high school. She is a recent Hobbs High and NMJC graduate and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology. Grace holds a certification in elementary aged Acro Dance through Acrobatic Arts. She is also the current Miss New Mexico’s Teen 2024! Her platform with this title is all about finding your passion. For Grace, it is performing. She is so excited to be teaching at En Pointe Dance Academy and to share her love of dance, acro/tumbling, and performing with the children she teaches.
