For All Classes
- No jewelry except for pierced ear studs
- No watches
- Never wear dance shoes outside. Change into dance shoes once you get inside the studio.
- If wearing a sports/workout bra, it needs to match leotard color or be skin colored.
- For dancers wearing tights and a leotard: A dancer's tights are their underwear - NO visible underwear should be showing under tights/leotard.

Doll Baby Ballet and Tiny Toes Ballet
- Solid black, light pink, or light purple leotard
- Ballet skirts are optional: they can be black, light pink, or light purple and attached or unattached to the leotard. A thin, soft tulle tutu is ok, but no big tutus in class. Tutus are costumes and are for performances.
- Pink footed or convertible dance tights
- Pink ballet shoes in canvas or leather, split sole or full sole
- Hair in a bun
Level A and B Ballet
- Solid black leotard
- Pink footed or convertible dance tights, with or without a seam down the back
- Pink split sole ballet shoes in canvas or leather (preferably canvas)
- Ballet skirts are optional: They MUST BE the classic, short, wrap around ballet skirt in solid black or EPDA Purple. If you are choosing to wear a purple wrap around ballet skirt, all the skirts need to be the same shade of purple to maintain professionalism in the ballet classroom. Matching purple skirts are purchased from InMotion Apparel located inside EPDA's Lobby.
- Any color warm-ups, including leg warmers, are optional at the beginning of class.
- Hair in a bun
Level C Ballet, Level D Ballet, Pre-Pointe and Pointe
- Solid black leotard
- Pink convertible mesh tights with a seam down the back
- Split sole canvas ballet shoes
- Pointe shoes upon teacher's approval for those en pointe
- Ballet skirts are optional: They MUST BE the classic, short, wrap around ballet skirt in solid black or EPDA Purple. Doll Baby and Tiny Toes Acro Dance
- Any color dance leotard, biketard, or gymnastics leotard (for girls)
- Any leggings, bike shorts, dance shorts, tights, or any fitted workout pants (girls)
- Dancers also taking ballet can wear the same thing they wear for ballet class, but tights need to be convertible tights so they can be rolled up off the foot, so feet are bare.
- Hair in a bun, braid, or ponytail
Level A Jazz and Levels B, C, and D Jazz/Lyrical
- Any solid-colored leotard without lettering
- Solid black dance shorts with tights OR solid black leggings capri or full length with or without tights, or just tights with a leotard.
- Dance tights- pink, black, or tan *must be convertible tights for dancing bare foot for levels B, C, and D.
- Black split sole jazz shoes without laces
- Nude dance paws/foot undeez for levels B, C, and D (for Lyrical dance)
- Any color warm-ups, including leg warmers, are optional at the beginning of class.
- Hair in a bun, braid, or ponytail
Level A, B, C, and D Hip Hop
- Any comfortable shirt, T-shirt, or tank top *No buttons, glitter, strings, etc. that will swing or fall off while dancing
- Comfortable pants or capris. Pants can be leggings, cargo, or workout pants. All pants must be fitted to the ankle and not touching the floor or hanging down over the feet. No Jeans.
- Solid black or black with some white high-top sneakers with black laces. *These are regular shoes that can be purchased anywhere as long as they meet the description. We ask that even though they are regular shoes, that they be set aside as "dance shoes" and never worn outside.
- Hair in a ponytail, braid, or bun.
Pom
- Any solid-colored leotard without lettering
- Solid black dance shorts with tights OR solid black leggings capri or full length with or without tights, or just tights with a leotard.
- Dance tights- pink, black, or tan
- Black split sole jazz shoes without laces
- Any color warm-ups, including leg warmers, are optional at the beginning of class.
- Hair in a bun, braid, or ponytail
- *Tiny Toes Pom dancers can wear the same thing they wear in ballet. They can wear a ballet skirt if it is attached to their leotard. Levels A, B, C, and D pom, no ballet skirts.
Ballet Folklorico (girls)
- Any solid-colored leotard without lettering
- Solid black dance shorts with tights OR solid black leggings capri or full length with or without tights, or just tights with a leotard.
- Dance tights- pink, black, or tan
- Shoes: Black Character Shoes with a 1.5 inch heel
- A traditional Ballet Folklorico practice skirt will be used in every class. Steps and choreography involve the skirt. Please visit the office after classes have started for information on purchasing a practice skirt.
- Hair in a bun, braid, or ponytail
Stretch and Strength
- Anything comfortable that Pilates, yoga, and stretching can be done in.
- Bare feet (if wearing tights, they need to be convertible)
- Socks, a small towel, and/or yoga mat: optional
- Any color warm-ups, including leg warmers, are optional at the beginning of class
- Hair in a bun, braid, or ponytail
- Tummy needs to be covered- no half shirts
- If wearing short shorts, tights need to be worn underneath
Boys
- Hip hop: Same as girls
- Jazz/Lyrical: Any solid-colored fitted T-shirt without lettering, black workout pants, and black jazz shoes
- Ballet: White fitted T-shirt, black fitted work out pants or black men’s tights, and black ballet shoes
- Ballet Folklorico: Comfortable T-shirt, workout pants or dress pants, and cowboy boots
- Acro Dance: Any comfortable T-shirt, workout pants, or workout shorts with bare feet
Rehearsal
- Any solid-colored leotard
- Pink or black convertible tights
- Ballet shoes/pointe shoes, jazz shoes, and dance paws
- Optional ballet skirt in black or EPDA purple in ballet
- Optional solid black jazz shorts or leggings in jazz/lyrical/contemporary
- Hair in a bun- ballet
- Hair in a bun or ponytail- jazz/lyrical/contemporary
- Optional dance warm-ups in any color at the beginning of rehearsal
